The idea

The idea was the brainchild of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Seitz, Head Pathologist at the the Klinikum Bamberg and initiator and organiser of the diocese anniversary exhibition in Bamberg which was one of the most successful caricature exhibitions in Germany in recent years. Over 12,000 copies of the book have already been sold. The Welcome CaricaTours book was realised by Prof. Dr. Seitz in conjunction with Prof. Dr. Walther Keim who has specialised in non-verbal communication and the history and development of caricatures. Prof. Dr. Keim has also published numerous compilations of caricatures. 

In addition to the book published jointly by the Welcome Hotel group and the two professors there is also an exhibition of the same name: "KarikaTouren zum Hotel" which up until September 2008 was on tour of the group's hotels. This exhibition can now be loaned out by any interested parties. It comprises 50 pictures from the book which have been framed (60 x 80 cm). Interested? Then please apply to info@welcome-hotels.com .
