"Die Albrechtsburg. Das ist die Höhe!"
Albrechtsburg - architecture, power and porcelain in Germany’s oldest palace

Exhibition rooms include:
• The palace in all its glory - the Albrechtsburg in the 19^th century
• Albrechtsburg – a stroke of genius: the unusual architecture
• Living in the palace – what was it like?
• Medieval governance in and around Meißen
• Experiment and production – the Albrechtsburg: Europe’s first site of porcelain manufacture
The exhibition is supplemented by a small collection of porcelain artefacts from a range of different eras.
The exhibition also includes information about the life of Böttger.

Exhibition in Moritzburg palace

→ "Das Federzimmer" (Feather Room) - August the Strong’s state bed→ "Baroque exhibition" with precious leather wall coverings, furniture, porcelain and a huge collection of hunting trophies→ "The historic porcelain quarter" – Meissen porcelain from the 18^th century hunting-exotic-mythological

Tours of the barqoue magnificence and the porcelain quarter (only open to visitors on a tour):
           February and March, Sataurday and Sunday 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
           April to September, daily 10:30 a.m.  12 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

When:  February and March, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
           April to September, daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where:  Baroque palace of Moritzburg 

Permanent Exhibition with exhibits showcasing wine making and the history of the church and schools.

The exhibition showcases a wonderful collection of photos, pictures, books, documents and tools connected to the growing of grapes and wine production. It also includes interesting historical information on the local area.

When:  May to September, Sunday from 3 – 6 p.m.

Permanent Exhibition "Vom Dorf zur Stadt" (From a village to a town)

The exhibition aims to share the history of Coswig with its visitors. The thematically organised exhibition showcases the region's historic, social, economic, political and religious development.

When: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 2-6 p.m.

Where: Karrasburg Museum Coswig, Karrasstrasse 4 in Coswig

Permanent Exhibition "Meißen: small town idyll at the time of Ludwig Richter"

An exhibition spread over two storeys plus fabulous views over the rooftops of Meissen making the climb up all the more worthwhile.

When: 11:00 Uhr bis 17:00 Uhr (April-Oktober)

Where: Torhaus Museum
